Dominique Vyborna
Dominique Vyborna (she/they) is a digital artist, creative producer, and founder of EmpressVR—a cooperative platform supporting immersive creators from all backgrounds through collaboration, experimentation, and shared values. With over 22 years of experience spanning large-scale civic art, site-specific immersive theatre, and virtual reality production, Dominique brings a cross-disciplinary approach to storytelling, innovation, and community-building.
After beginning their career in fabrication and sculpture, Dominique earned a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management from The University of Texas at Austin and later an MA in Virtual and Extended Realities with Distinction from the University of the West of England. Throughout their career, they’ve cultivated inclusive, growth-oriented spaces across creative and technical teams.
Dominique’s current work explores trauma-informed design, digital therapeutics for PTSD, and VR development education. They design and facilitate learning spaces specifically for women, trans, and non-binary participants—centering safety, identity, and creative freedom.
EmpressVR, now operating as a cooperative (Empress Immersive LTD), exists to connect and uplift immersive artists, technologists, and immersive storytellers worldwide. Building a community of good people who believe that collaboration, kindness, and creativity make all of us stronger and improves quality of life for everyone involves, we aim to Amplify Diverse Voices in Immersive Storytelling and foster inclusive, equitable spaces where creators of all backgrounds can thrive, experiment, and lead.
